What is bone broth?
Bone broth is the liquid strained after slow simmering bones, joints, connective tissue, vegetables and herbs in water for an extended period of time. A quality broth will be the consistency of firm jell-o once cooled.
Why health of the animal matters
"You are what you eat", as the proverb goes. Healthy animals produce healthy food. The factory farming epidemic that is happening right now is having a profound negative impact on the health of the human race, the well-being of the animals it exploits and the planet on which we rely.
Meet our farmers:
Of utmost importance to our company is the food that goes into our product. Simmer works to connect with local Vermont farms that share our values and beliefs. More details can be found on our "Behind the Broth" page.

Uses for bone broth:
Broth can be enjoyed straight out of a mug just like coffee or tea. It makes a great base for soups and stews and can be used in place of water for cooking grains and vegetables.
Where the broth is made:
The Simmering Bone is thrilled to be in the process of transitioning production facilities. This is going to allow us to expand output, upgrade to MUCH more practical and professional packaging as well as launch a shipping option!! Stay tuned.
