What is bone broth?

Bone broth is the liquid strained after slow simmering bones, joints, connective tissue, vegetables and herbs in water for an extended period of time.  A quality broth will be the consistency of firm jell-o once cooled.

A beautiful example of the jiggly, gelatinous broth that could be yours! Don't worry, when you heat it up it's a silky, scrumptious liquid!

A superb result from Simmer's first go at a seasonal Wild Venison Broth.  The heated broth is surprisingly mild and delicious!  Great for sipping as well as cooking.  A great example of the nutrition that comes from bones of a healthy animal that lived the way nature intended.
